Fifth Korean-Bulgarian Friendship Concert

On October 18th, 2017 the Sofia Philharmonic "Bulgaria Hall" hosted the fifth Korean-Bulgarian Friendship Concert. The concert was under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bulgaria and H.E. SHIN Boonam.

The audience had the possibility to enjoy fragments of some of the most remarkable classical musical works, such as opera arias by Verdi, Puccini and Rossini, works by Dvorak and Schubert, as well as Bulgarian and Korean folkloric songs. Under the sounds of Jaeyoung LEE’s piano, the world-famous vocal choir ensemble “I Maestri” – consisting of 90 professional opera singers – and the Bulgarian women’s choir “Bella Voce” contributed to the impressive and enjoyable mise-en-scène, as they managed to warm the hearts of the attending audience with their performances and offered many smiles to the amateurs of music, who gathered in the “Bulgaria Hall”. The concert was conducted under the baton of maestro Jaemoo YANG.

Once again, the concert was an evidence of the friendship between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Korea, through the cultural exchange, which by itself is an important prerequisite for any successful commercial and economic venture.
